About the Doctors
Ali S. Husain, DMD, MSD
Dr. Husain strives for excellence in every aspect of his profession. As a result, he has earned various awards and distinctions, including:
- Board Certified by the American Board of Orthodontics
- Clinical Associate Professor at Temple School of Dentistry
- 2006-2007 President of the Greater Philadelphia Society of Orthodontists
- 2006-2010 Director for the Middle Atlantic Society of Orthodontists
- 2006-2008 President of the Board of Governors at the Bear-Glasgow YMCA
Dr. Husain is a member of the Delaware Cleft Palate Team of A.I. Dupont Hospital for Children. He is also a member of the dental staff at Christiana Care Hospital, where he teaches dental residents and serves as a clinical assistant professor in the Orthodontics Department at Temple School of Dentistry.
He is a member of the American Association of Orthodontists, American Board of Orthodontists, the Middle Atlantic Society of Orthodontists, the Greater Philadelphia Society of Orthodontics and the Delaware State Dental Society.
Dr. Husain is committed to serving the community. He volunteers his time as an active board member for the Bear-Glasgow YMCA.
He resides in Delaware with his wife, Rose, and their three children.
Jamie Ahl, DMD, MSD
Dr. Ahl has earned various awards and distinctions, including:

Dr. Ahl recognized at a young age the incredible impact that orthodontics can have on people’s lives. She pursued the goal of becoming an orthodontist, receiving a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology from Ursinus College and dental degree from the University Of Pennsylvania School Of Dental Medicine. She graduated with honors from dental school and received the American Academy of Periodontology and Academy of General Dentistry Awards upon graduation. She went on to complete her orthodontic residency program at Temple University School of Dentistry. While at Temple University, she earned her certificate in orthodontics and Master of Science degree in oral biology. Dr. Ahl also served as an orthodontic instructor to the undergraduate dental students during her training.
Dr. Ahl shares our philosophy of staying on the cutting edge of developments and research in orthodontics by frequently attending continuing education courses. She is Board Certified by the American Board of Orthodontics and is a member of the American Association of Orthodontists, the American Dental Association, the Middle Atlantic Society of Orthodontists, the Greater Philadelphia Society of Orthodontists, Tweed Foundation Society, and the Kent-Sussex Dental Society.
Dr. Ahl and her husband have happily made Dover their home as members of St. John’s Lutheran Church and a member of Dover’s Division of Mothers and More. When not in the orthodontic office, she enjoys spending time with her family, skiing and playing golf. Dr. Ahl is enthusiastic about being part of the Newark and Middletown dental communities and looks forward to meeting you. She is a talented and motivated practitioner, and I know that you will find her to be an asset to our practice.
Jonathan Johnson
I am pleased to announce that Dr. Jonathan C. Johnson will be joining my practice. I had the pleasure of working with Dr. Johnson throughout his orthodontic training at Temple University and am excited for him to share his high level of care with our patients.
Dr. Johnson received a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology from Bucknell University and completed his dental education at the University of Pennsylvania School of Dental Medicine. Dr. Johnson then furthered his dental training by completing an orthodontic residency at the Temple University School of Dentistry. While at Temple, Dr. Johnson served as the Chief Resident in the Department of Orthodontics as well as an orthodontic instructor to the undergraduate dental students.
Dr. Johnson remains at the forefront of orthodontic technology and research by attending continuing education courses and meeting with interdisciplinary dental groups. He is:

Dr. Johnson is looking forward to marrying his fiancée Jessica Perchiniak next spring. He is eager to be practicing orthodontics in Jess’ home state, close to her friends and family. When not in the orthodontic office, Dr. Johnson enjoys golf, soccer, and supporting Philadelphia sports teams. Dr. Johnson is excited to create healthy smiles in our practice and looks forward to meeting you.
