Never End Orthodontic Treatment Without It

Orthodontics is a time consuming process. Orthodontists, Dr. Hussain and Dr. Flagg, at Delaware Orthodontics create a unique treatment plan for children, teens, and adults who want to achieve and maintain beautiful healthy smiles. At Delaware Orthodontics, we offer a multitude of services based on each patients needs. Our orthodontist, Dr. Ali Husain, offers the Forsus Orthodontic appliance in some cases. This is the appliance that looks like a spring or a coil connected to the brackets of your braces. This appliance helps move the upper molars back while moving the lower arch forward. It is used when a patient’s upper jaw and teeth protrude over the lower teeth by a large margin. This treatment process can reduce overbite and promote necessary jaw growth. Since every patient is different, we evaluate each patient to decide whether or not this appliance is necessary. Once placed, it is usually worn for 6 to 9 months depending on each person’s individual case.
